This means that products recommended during your pet's visit are available to take home the same day, without requiring a separate trip. Our team provides clear guidance on how to use each product, including dosing and administration instructions. We dispense products only for patients with a current veterinarian-client-patient relationship. We do not operate an online or third-party dispensing service.
Some conditions benefit from the involvement of a board-certified veterinary specialist, whether for advanced imaging, surgical expertise, or management of a complex internal medicine case. Avon Animal Hospital maintains referral relationships with veterinary specialists in the Lower Mainland and can coordinate referrals for your pet where appropriate. We communicate with the referring specialist to ensure they have the information needed to continue your pet's care, and we remain available to support you and answer questions throughout the referral process.
When a pet requires close monitoring or supportive care over the course of a day, Avon Animal Hospital provides short-term hospitalization during our clinic hours. This allows us to monitor your pet's condition, administer supportive care, and observe for any changes that require attention. Hospitalization is available during our regular operating hours and is typically used for pets recovering from a same-day procedure or requiring observation following a health concern. For pets requiring overnight care, we will arrange transfer to a 24-hour facility in the area.
