Avon Animal Hospital is a locally owned veterinary hospital proudly serving Surrey, Langley, and the surrounding communities since January 2003. Located at 19475 Fraser Highway, Unit 101A, Surrey, BC, our hospital was founded by Dr. Baljit Mrar with the vision of providing compassionate, honest, and personalized veterinary care for every pet and every family.

Meet Dr. Baljit Mrar

Dr. Baljit Mrar graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, India, in 1992. Originally from the village of Jalaldiwal, Punjab, he moved to Canada in 1995 and continued pursuing his passion for veterinary medicine.

After completing the required veterinary examinations and certification process through the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, Dr. Mrar became licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Canada in 2002. He worked at Atlas Animal Hospital before opening Avon Animal Hospital in Surrey in January 2003.

For more than two decades, Dr. Mrar has been dedicated to serving the local community with a practical, compassionate, and hands-on approach to veterinary care.
